Presently, I am an Instructional Designer in higher education. My main responsibilities include building courses within the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework (i.e., designing with accessibility and equity in mind), faculty support for online teaching, educational technology research, and course reviews as they relate to accessibility, equity, and fair-use copyright.
In particular, I have immense experience with accessibility and the WCAG 2.1 guidelines for ADA compliance, including how to properly alt text, adding captions/transcript to videos, formatting documents and tables, and formatting pages in an LMS. In addition, I have in-depth experience with copyright and copyediting, including how to properly cite resources (i.e., articles, textbook chapters, images, etc.) in APA, Chicago/Turabian, and MLA styles, differentiating between copyright licenses (i.e., Creative Commons, etc.), and copyediting courses for quality assurance.
Please see below for examples of the work projects that I have completed in the emerging field of instructional design and educational technology.
